Purpose

The idea was simple. Video content was delivered in two formats: voice over and template. Voice overs were recorded by fluent speakers in a in their native dialects using increasingly complex responses. This video content is used in both classroom and language lab. In the language lab, it's the students' turn to record their own voice-overs. They watch a video template while recording. These recordings become a part of the students' portfolio of work for the semester. An oral/aural diary they can reference later to hear their own progress. There are a myriad of reading and writing exercises that can accompany this multimedia work, such as transcribing their own recording, and correcting the mistakes.
