The Situation

The idea was simple.Video content was delivered in two formats: voice over and template. Voice overs were recorded by fluent speakers in a in their native dialects using increasingly complex responses. This video content is used in both classroom and language lab.In the language lab, it's the students' turn to record their own voice-overs. They watch a video template while recording. These recordings become a part of the students' portfolio of work for the semester. An oral/aural diary they can reference later to hear their own progress. There are a myriad of reading and writing exercises that can accompany this multimedia work, such as transcribing their own recording, and correcting the mistakes.
